As Rico Soegiarto was heading back from work in Denpasar, Bali, his eyes caught a glimpse of a frail, hairless Siberian Husky, almost hidden on the roadside. Covered in wounds and barely recognizable, this dog immediately tugged at Rico’s heartstrings, prompting him to act.
Rico, already a parent to four rescued dogs, found himself irrevocably drawn to this husky he named Hope. Her bright blue eyes sparkled with an undying spirit, defying her otherwise dire state.

Hope’s journey to recovery started at Rico’s loving home. Through numerous medicinal baths and a nourishing diet, Rico dedicated himself to nursing Hope back to health, a task both challenging and rewarding.
With each passing day, Hope’s transformation became more apparent. She gained confidence, and her fur started to grow back, revealing a stunning Husky beneath what once seemed like a hopeless case.
A year later, Hope’s transformation was complete. She blossomed into a gorgeous, healthy Husky, a far cry from the dying dog Rico first encountered. More than just a rescue, Rico welcomed Hope as a new family member.
Today, Hope enjoys her rejuvenated life in Bali, basking in the love and care of Rico and his family. It’s truly a second chance at life, filled with joy and hope.
