K-9 Puppy Sleeps Through His Entire Swearing-In Ceremony

On April 6, 2020, a 12-week-old chocolate Labrador puppy named Brody joined the Bristol Police Department in Rhode Island. The swearing-in ceremony for this adorable recruit was broadcast live on the department’s Facebook page. Brody slept throughout the entire ceremony, only waking to pose for a photo.

Brody’s partner is officer Keith Medeiros, and together they will serve as Bristol’s first Comfort and Therapy dog team. Their mission is to improve the life standard of people in town and bridge the gap between the community and the police. Brody was generously donated by Boonefield Labradors in Rindge, New Hampshire.

The sweet pup is expected to meet the community, visit schools, and nursing home residents. He will also help comfort victims of crime. Therapy dogs are known to help people cope with stress, anxiety, PTSD, and various other emotions.

Despite being the youngest member, Brody has already made a significant impact in the department. His presence helps relieve stress and brings smiles to people’s faces. This newfound love for the little K-9 spreads beyond Bristol, with Brody’s Instagram page gaining immense popularity.

The people of Bristol are excited for the future that lies ahead for K-9 Brody. With a lot of responsibility on his tiny paws, Brody is surrounded by love and support, and he will undoubtedly become a superstar in the community.
