Meet Clancy! This amazing pup has a heart as big as the ocean and a spirit that can’t be crushed. Despite missing a leg, he’s ready to hit the waves and show the world what he’s got!
Clancy came to us from Mexico after a tough start. He was hit by a car, leading to a bad amputation. But don’t worry! He’s now living his best life with his loving owner, who is by his side every step of the way.
Just two weeks ago, his owner decided to throw him on a surfboard. And guess what? He was a natural! Clancy doesn’t even realize he’s missing a leg. He acts just like any other dog, proving that limitations are just in our minds.
His owner shares, “He’s my best bud from day one. We were side by side, and now he follows me everywhere. He’s my constant companion.” How sweet is that?
Clancy’s journey is all about love and resilience. His owner wanted to give him a little extra love in his life, and they’re living proof that a dog can do anything, despite challenges.
“It’s amazing saving their lives,” his owner says. Clancy is a happy dog, full of life and energy. And that’s what it’s all about!
The upcoming Surf Dog Surf-A-Thon on September 10th is a chance for Clancy and other pups to shine. The funds raised will go towards helping more pets and programs at the Helen Woodward Animal Center.
