Rescuers often save lovable dogs from harsh circumstances, only for these sweet pups to face rejection time and time again. It’s heart-wrenching to think that any healthy and affectionate dog could be set on the path towards euthanasia, as all dogs undoubtedly deserve a chance to find a loving and caring family.

An Amazing Rescuer
Jon Mancinetti and his dog, Smokey, made a unique resolution: visit shelters in every city they traveled to. While in a Memphis shelter, Mancinetti met amazing dogs.
Mosey, the dog on death row, caught his attention. A volunteer informed Jon that Mosey was scheduled for euthanasia that day. Mancinetti went to meet him, immediately realizing Mosey’s sweet nature but terrible condition. He thought:
No one was going to come into the shelter and adopt him just because of the way he looked, but I knew there was a beautiful dog underneath all that.
Jon Mancinetti decided to foster Mosey. First, he had to introduce Mosey to his dog, Smokey. Their meeting showed that the dogs would get along.
In this incredible act of kindness, Mancinetti rescued Mosey and allowed him a chance to thrive.
Mosey’s New Journey
Mosey, the once homeless pit bull, joined an epic tour with his newfound friends. During this road trip, he visited seven cities and enjoyed exploring new environments.
Mosey’s health improved significantly throughout the journey. His weight increased and his fur grew more lush. As Mancinetti searched for a forever home for Mosey, he wanted to ensure the family would be a perfect match.
A special family eagerly awaited Mosey’s arrival. They displayed a heartwarming Welcome home Mosey sign by their fireplace. Mosey immediately bonded with his new dog siblings and human family members, recognizing that he had found his forever home.
Although parting with Mosey was difficult for Mancinetti, he felt joy knowing that Mosey would be in the care of an amazing family.
