Lonely Puppy Found In Forest Clings To His Last Belongings Until Help Arrives

A young pittie named Hank was found abandoned in the woods. He was just eight months old. Hank sat still on his bed, silent and unmoving.

A Good Samaritan stumbled upon him during a walk. Beside Hank was a bag of dog food and toys. The food bag was unopened, out of reach for a small pup.

The man was struck by Hank’s stillness and sad eyes. He didn’t try to move Hank but called for help instead. A local animal shelter responded to the rescue call. Hank greeted them with affection, thankful for their presence.

Rosa Fond from Humans and Animals United took him in. She said Hank was incredibly sweet and loving. A vet check revealed the reason for Hank’s stillness. He had a broken leg, likely older than his time in the woods.

The injury needed surgery, but first, Hank had to gain strength. He was malnourished and weak. The shelter staff showered him with love and care. Hank’s recovery included surgery and lots of cuddles. He moved to a foster home to heal and enjoy life.

Many asked about adopting Hank. But Fond wanted him fully recovered first. She promised Hank would never be hurt again.
